Tasneem Basrai
is an accomplished Physiotherapist involved in work that has earned her recognition and respect
from various medical professionals as well as patients under her charge who have benefitted from her individualized
therapy interventions.  Tasneem is now involved in holistic rehabilitation care of patients in their own home.

Tasneem started her career with Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) where she was instrumental in setting up the outpatient musculoskeletal department.  With an interest in gerontology and a passion for sharing her knowledge and skills, Tasneem was appointed as a coordinator for her fellow Physiotherapists in the geriatric unit

As an area of specialization,
Tasneem concentrated on rehabilitation therapies. She attended to patients with varied conditions like traumatic brain injury, stroke,
amputees and spinal cord injuries
.  She pioneered the serial casting program in the Rehab Department of TTSH and has also done serial casting for patients at home.

She has pioneered the Domiciliary/Home Based physiotherapy arm of TTSH. 
Was the coordinator of the Community Rehab Program (CRP) and managed the operational and clinical aspects of the program.
Was instrumental in establishing the clinical worthiness of CRP by coaching and guiding the new team of professionals who joined the program.
As part of the reach-out strategies of CRP, Tasneem networked extensively with various agencies in the community to ensure that there is continuing care of patients once they are discharged from the hospital.
She has organized workshops and given talks to various conferences on the community/medical model as well as effectiveness of a Home Based Program.
She has also formatted various assessment forms required for the assessment and continuation of treatment of patients at home.
To keep abreast of the developments in the area of physiotherapy, Tasneem has constantly upgraded herself by attending various courses locally and internationally  
Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy
Is a certified NDT practitioner
Is a member of Singapore Physiotherapy Association
A Key trainer of the METT ( Maintainence Exercise Therapy and Treatment) program that was run in collaboration with MCYS and WDA.
Is in the midst of getting her ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) certificate.
